Mission:Mission:To provide medical assistance in the form of free medicines, blood to the poor and needy patients visiting the hospital from various cities and rural areas of the Southern Punjab.
Back Ground:
Children Welfare Society established inside the premises of Children Hospital Complex Multan and aims of CWS is to provide medical assistance in the form of free medicines and treatment for the poor and needy patients visiting the hospital from various cities and rural areas of the Southern Punjab.
What they Do:Under law of the Punjab Government every public hospital is obligated to have social welfare office inside the hospitals. Two social welfare officers manage this office and some supported staff ensures that each deserving patient gets the required medical treatment under any one of the available welfare funds.
Records of patients treated under the Bait-ul-Mal, Zakat or Children Welfare Society funds are maintained in this office. Underlying philosophy for establishing such a facility is to generate indigenous resources since Government funds can never be sufficient to fulfill the increasing need of free medical treatment.
The Hospital is Located:Children Hospital Complex Multan is newly established medical institution by the Health Department, Government of Punjab, functioning with 150 beds extendable to 300 beds in near future to provide all kind of medical & surgical facilities to the sick children of the Southern Punjab.
About 650-700 poor/ deserving Children are visiting Out Door of this hospital daily.
The hospital is providing services to the Paed Medicine, Paed Surgery, Paed Oncology, Paed Nephrology, Paed Neurology, Paed Intensive Care unit, Dialysis Unit, Thalassemia and Rehabilitation Services Un
